Uses of Telekast-T Tab

Telekast-T Tablet CR is used in the treatment of asthma.

How it works

Telekast-T Tablet CR is a combination of two medicines: Montelukast and theophylline which prevent future attacks of asthma. Montelukast is a leukotriene antagonist which blocks the action of leukotriene, a chemical messenger. This reduces inflammation in the airways to prevent asthma and relieve symptoms of allergies. Theophylline is a bronchodilator. It works by relaxing the muscles in the airways and widens airways.

Directions for use

Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Telekast-T Tablet CR is to be taken empty stomach.<br>Take this medicine 1 hour before or 2 hours after food. You can take it with food if stomach upset occurs.<br>Avoid Telekast-T Tablet CR with caffeine and chocolate as well as food containing caffeine and chocolate such as tea leaves, cocoa beans.
