How Travotas Eye Drops works

Travotas 0.004% Eye Drop is a prostaglandin analogue. It works by increasing the outflow of aqueous humor, thereby lowering the increased eye pressure.

How to take Travotas Eye Drops

This medicine is for external use only. Use it in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Check the label for directions before use. Hold the dropper close to the eye without touching it. Gently squeeze the dropper and place the medicine inside the lower eyelid. Wipe off the extra liquid.

Take it exactly as your doctor prescribed. Do not change the dose or stop early on your own.

Missed dose and overdose

Discard the bottle one month after you first open it, even if drops remain. Remove soft contact lenses before instilling drops and wait fifteen minutes before putting them back, unless the drops are specifically made for use with lenses. Seek same-day care for eye pain, marked redness, sensitivity to light or any loss of vision. Steroid eye drops must only be used under medical supervision — used wrongly they can raise eye pressure and damage sight. For best results, put one drop once a day in the evening/night in the affected eye(s). Apply pressure on the corner of the eye (close to the nose) for about 1 minute, immediately after instilling the drop. Travotas 0.004% Eye Drop may cause brown pigmentation of the iris. This discoloration may be permanent. Your eyelashes may become more dense, and eyelid skin may darken. These changes should disappear after discontinuing Travotas 0.004% Eye Drop. Wait for at least 5-10 minutes before delivering the next medication in the same eye to avoid dilution. Travotas 0.004% Eye Drop helps lower high pressure in the eye and reduces the risk of vision loss.
