How to take Troycal 500 mg

Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. TroycAL CT Capsule may be taken with or without food.

Take it exactly as your doctor prescribed. Do not change the dose or stop early on your own.

Missed dose and overdose

If you miss a dose

If you miss a dose of TroycAL CT Capsule, take it as soon as possible. However, if it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your regular schedule. Do not double the dose.

If you take too much

Taking more Troycal than prescribed can be harmful. If you suspect an overdose, contact a doctor or go to the nearest emergency department at once, and carry the pack or strip with you. In India the emergency number is 112.

TroycAL CT Capsule is used in the treatment of calcium deficiency. Inform your doctor if you have kidney problems, or if you have ever had kidney stones. Let your doctor know if you are taking any other medications like for bone disorders, antihypertensives, antibiotics, antacids, other calcium supplements or medicines for heart disease. Inform your doctor if you are taking an iron supplement, as the absorption rate might be affected. Include calcium-rich food in your diet like milk, cheese, yogurt, calcium-fortified soya milk, and green leafy vegetables like spinach.
