How Uc Rab 20 Tablet works

Rabeprazole is a proton pump inhibitor (PPI) that irreversibly blocks the H+/K+ ATPase (proton pump) in gastric parietal cells. This reduces stomach acid production, helping relieve symptoms and allowing ulcers and esophageal irritation to heal.

How to take Uc Rab 20 Tablet

Oral tablet. Take as prescribed, usually once daily (20 mg) preferably 30 minutes before food, ideally before breakfast. Swallow whole with water; do not crush or chew. For H. pylori regimens, take along with prescribed antibiotics as directed.

Take it exactly as your doctor prescribed. Do not change the dose or stop early on your own.

Missed dose and overdose

If you miss a dose

If you miss a dose of U Rab 20mg Tablet, take it as soon as possible. However, if it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your regular schedule. Do not double the dose.

If you take too much

Taking more Uc Rab than prescribed can be harmful. If you suspect an overdose, contact a doctor or go to the nearest emergency department at once, and carry the pack or strip with you. In India the emergency number is 112.

Most side effects of Uc Rab are mild and settle as the body adjusts. Reported side effects include:

Take adequate dietary intake of calcium and magnesium or their supplements as prescribed by your doctor. Consult your doctor right away if you develop decreased urination, edema (swelling due to fluid retention), lower back pain, nausea, fatigue, and rash or fever.
