Carboxymethylcellulose Sodium 0.5% w/v (lubricating eye drops)
Dry eye syndrome (keratoconjunctivitis sicca), relief of eye dryness, irritation, burning and foreign body sensation due to reduced tear production or environmental factors (wind, dust, screen use, AC).
Carboxymethylcellulose is a lubricant (artificial tears) that forms a protective, moisturizing film over the ocular surface. It stabilizes the tear film and reduces friction and irritation, providing symptomatic relief in dry eyes.
For ophthalmic use only. Instill 1-2 drops in the affected eye(s) as needed or as directed by a doctor. Wash hands before use; avoid touching the dropper tip. If using other eye medicines, keep a 5-10 minute gap. Remove contact lenses before instillation and reinsert after 10-15 minutes unless advised otherwise.

A substitute contains the same active ingredient (salt), in the same strength, as UV Lube Eye Drops. The medicine inside is the same — the brand name, manufacturer and price are what differ.
All medicines sold in India, branded or generic, must meet the quality standards set by the national drug regulator (CDSCO). A lower price does not mean lower quality.
Please confirm with your doctor or pharmacist before switching brands — they will check that the strength and form match your prescription.
Do not use if allergic to any ingredient. Do not use if solution changes colour or becomes cloudy. Avoid touching dropper tip to prevent contamination. Stop use and consult a doctor if eye pain, persistent redness/irritation, vision changes, or symptoms worsen or persist beyond 72 hours. Use with caution in eye infection or injury unless advised by an ophthalmologist.
