Sildenafil citrate equivalent to Sildenafil 100 mg
Treatment of erectile dysfunction (impotence) in adult men; helps achieve and maintain an erection during sexual stimulation.
Sildenafil is a phosphodiesterase-5 (PDE5) inhibitor. It increases cGMP levels in the corpus cavernosum, enhancing nitric oxide–mediated blood flow to the penis during sexual stimulation. It does not cause an erection without sexual arousal.
Oral tablet. Usually taken as needed about 30–60 minutes before sexual activity (can be taken 30 minutes to 4 hours before). Swallow with water; may be taken with or without food, but high-fat meals may delay onset. Do not take more than once in 24 hours; dose as prescribed by a doctor.
