Volini Spray contains Diclofenac (1%w/w) + Menthol (5%w/w) + Linseed Oil (3%w/w) + Methyl Salicylate (10%w/w). It belongs to the Topical NSAID + counterirritants class of medicines.

How Volini Spray works

Diclofenac is an NSAID that reduces pain and inflammation by inhibiting prostaglandin synthesis. Methyl salicylate and menthol provide counter‑irritant cooling/warming sensation that helps reduce pain perception. Linseed oil acts as an emollient base and may support soothing effect.

How to take Volini Spray

For external use only. Shake well and spray on the affected area from a short distance; let it dry. Use 3–4 times daily or as directed by a doctor. Do not apply on broken/irritated skin; wash hands after use; avoid eyes and mucous membranes.

Take it exactly as your doctor prescribed. Do not change the dose or stop early on your own.

Missed dose and overdose

If you miss a dose

Apply it as soon as you remember. If it is nearly time for the next application, skip the missed one — applying extra does not make up for it.

If you take too much

An overdose of this medicine can cause stomach bleeding, kidney failure, drowsiness and fits. It is unlikely from skin use, but swallowing these preparations can be serious, particularly in children. Do not wait for symptoms to appear — go to the nearest emergency department and take the pack or strip with you.

Side effects of Volini Spray

Most side effects of Volini are mild and settle as the body adjusts. Reported side effects include:

Warnings and precautions

Avoid use if allergic to diclofenac/aspirin/other NSAIDs or salicylates. Do not use on open wounds, infected skin, eczema, or under occlusive dressing. Stop use and seek medical help if severe rash, swelling, breathing difficulty, or persistent irritation occurs. Use with caution in asthma, history of NSAID allergy, or if using other topical products at the same site. Not recommended for children unless prescribed. Avoid heat pads or tight bandaging over the sprayed area.

Do not take Volini if

Not for anyone with a known allergy to this medicine or to any ingredient in the pack. Not for people with an active stomach ulcer, severe kidney or heart failure, or asthma triggered by aspirin or anti-inflammatory painkillers. Not in the third trimester of pregnancy. Not for use on broken, infected or badly inflamed skin.

Interactions with other medicines

Concomitant use with other NSAIDs/salicylates may increase risk of side effects; increased bleeding risk with anticoagulants/antiplatelets if significant systemic absorption (rare). Avoid applying with other topical irritants on same area (may increase irritation).

How to store Volini Spray

Store below 30°C, away from direct sunlight and moisture. Keep away from heat/flames (aerosol). Do not puncture or incinerate the container. Keep out of reach of children.

Expert advice for Volini Spray

Use the lowest dose for the shortest period. If you need a painkiller regularly, see your doctor rather than continuing on your own. Paracetamol is the safer choice for simple fever and headache. Use a small amount and rub it in well. See a doctor if the pain has not improved within the period stated on the pack.
