Povidone-Iodine 2% w/v (topical solution/gargle)

Uses of Wokadine Gg 2%.

Antiseptic gargle/mouthwash for sore throat, pharyngitis/tonsillitis symptoms, oral infections, and reduction of oral/throat microbial load; helps in oral hygiene and minor mouth ulcers (as advised).

How it works

Povidone-iodine releases free iodine which rapidly kills bacteria, viruses and fungi by disrupting proteins and cell membranes. This reduces infection-causing germs in the mouth and throat and helps relieve symptoms.

Directions for use

For gargling: Dilute as directed on label/doctor advice (commonly 1:1 with warm water) and gargle for 30–60 seconds, then spit out. Do not swallow. Use 2–4 times daily or as prescribed. For mouthwash use, swish and gargle then spit; avoid eating/drinking for ~30 minutes after use if advised.
