How Woundfix Solution works

This is a topical antiseptic solution used to clean wounds. It helps reduce microbial load on the skin/wound surface, thereby lowering the chance of infection and promoting a clean environment for healing.

How to take Woundfix Solution

For external use only. Clean the affected area; apply the solution directly or using sterile gauze/cotton as advised. Can be used before applying a dressing; avoid contact with eyes and mucous membranes. Frequency depends on wound type and doctor advice.

Take it exactly as your doctor prescribed. Do not change the dose or stop early on your own.

Missed dose and overdose

If you miss a dose

Take the missed dose of Woundfix as soon as you remember. If it is almost time for the next dose, skip the missed one and carry on with the usual schedule. Do not take two doses together to make up for a missed dose.

If you take too much

Taking more Woundfix than prescribed can be harmful. If you suspect an overdose, contact a doctor or go to the nearest emergency department at once, and carry the pack or strip with you. In India the emergency number is 112.

Side effects of Woundfix Solution

Most side effects of Woundfix are mild and settle as the body adjusts. Reported side effects include:

Warnings and precautions

For external use only. Do not ingest. Avoid use on deep puncture wounds, severe burns, or large/raw areas unless advised by a doctor. Stop use and seek medical advice if irritation/allergy occurs or if wound shows signs of infection (increasing pain, redness, swelling, pus, fever). Keep away from eyes; rinse with water if contact occurs. Use with caution in children and in patients with known antiseptic allergy.

Interactions with other medicines

No significant systemic drug interactions expected with topical use; avoid using simultaneously with other topical antiseptics/skin products on the same area unless advised (may increase irritation or reduce effectiveness).
