Human insulin (Regular insulin, rDNA origin) 100 IU/mL injection (3 mL cartridge)
Treatment of diabetes mellitus (Type 1 and Type 2) to control high blood glucose; used as mealtime/short-acting insulin and in hyperglycaemic emergencies as prescribed
Regular human insulin replaces/supplements natural insulin. It helps glucose move from blood into muscles and fat and reduces glucose production by the liver, thereby lowering blood sugar.
For subcutaneous injection using a compatible insulin pen for 3 mL cartridges, as prescribed. Typically injected ~30 minutes before meals; dosing is individualized. Do not use if solution is cloudy/colored or contains particles. Rotate injection sites; do not share pens/needles.
Common side effects of XSULIN R CARTRIDGES may include:
Risk of severe hypoglycaemia—monitor blood glucose regularly and carry fast-acting sugar. Use caution when changing insulin dose/brand, meal patterns, or activity. Dose adjustment may be needed in kidney/liver impairment, illness, stress, or with other antidiabetics. Do not use during episodes of hypoglycaemia. Seek urgent care for severe allergy or recurrent unexplained hypoglycaemia.
