Xylometazoline hydrochloride 0.1% w/v (nasal drops)
Relief of nasal congestion due to common cold, allergic rhinitis (hay fever), sinusitis; helps open blocked nose and relieve stuffiness
Xylometazoline is a topical nasal decongestant (alpha-adrenergic agonist). It constricts dilated blood vessels in the nasal mucosa, reducing swelling and mucus formation and improving airflow.
For intranasal use only. Instill the prescribed number of drops into each nostril as directed, usually 2-3 times daily. Blow nose gently before use; keep head tilted back while instilling. Do not use continuously for more than 3-5 days to avoid rebound congestion; follow doctor’s advice for children.

Do not use for more than 3-5 days (risk of rhinitis medicamentosa/rebound congestion). Use with caution in hypertension, heart disease, hyperthyroidism, diabetes, enlarged prostate, glaucoma. Avoid in atrophic rhinitis and after certain nasal surgeries unless advised. Not recommended for young children unless prescribed. Seek medical help if symptoms persist, worsen, or if severe headache, chest pain, fast heartbeat occurs.
