Accu-Chek Instant uses electrochemical biosensor technology: glucose in a blood drop reacts on the test strip, generating an electrical signal proportional to glucose concentration. The meter converts this signal into a blood glucose reading displayed on the screen.

Insert a compatible Accu-Chek Instant test strip into the meter, use the lancing device to obtain a small fingertip blood drop, touch the strip edge to the blood sample and wait for the result. Use as advised by your doctor; wash and dry hands before testing; do not reuse lancets; use only compatible strips and follow the user manual.

Pain or soreness at prick site, minor bleeding, bruising, skin irritation, infection (rare)

For in-vitro diagnostic use only. Use only Accu-Chek Instant compatible test strips; expired/damaged strips may give wrong results. Clean/disinfect the meter and lancing device as per instructions; do not share lancing devices to avoid infection transmission. Results may be affected by improper sampling, contaminated hands, extreme temperatures/altitudes, dehydration, shock, or certain medical conditions—seek medical advice if readings don’t match symptoms. Not intended for diagnosis without clinical correlation.

Some substances/conditions can interfere with glucose readings depending on strip chemistry; refer to strip insert/user manual for specific interferences (e.g., very high/low hematocrit, severe dehydration). No drug interaction in the usual sense as it is a device.

Store meter and accessories in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and moisture. Store test strips in original vial with cap tightly closed; avoid heat/humidity; do not refrigerate or freeze; use within expiry and within the specified period after opening (per label).
