Relief of acidity, heartburn, acid indigestion, and gastritis-related symptoms.

Antacids neutralize excess stomach acid and raise gastric pH, providing quick relief from burning and discomfort. Some formulations may also coat the stomach lining and reduce gas-related bloating.

Oral tablet. Take as advised by a doctor; commonly taken after meals and at bedtime for acidity/heartburn. Chew the tablet thoroughly (if chewable) and swallow; do not take within 2 hours of other medicines unless advised.

Constipation, diarrhea, nausea, stomach cramps, bloating, chalky taste

Use with caution in kidney disease (risk of electrolyte imbalance with magnesium/aluminium-containing antacids). Do not use for more than 1–2 weeks without medical advice; seek care if symptoms persist, recur frequently, or if you have vomiting, black stools, unexplained weight loss, or severe abdominal pain. May reduce absorption of many medicines; separate dosing as advised. Use cautiously in patients on low-phosphate diet or with severe dehydration.

Tetracyclines, fluoroquinolones (ciprofloxacin/levofloxacin), iron salts, levothyroxine, digoxin, isoniazid, ketoconazole/itraconazole, bisphosphonates (alendronate), zinc supplements (reduced absorption); separate by 2–4 hours

Store below 25°C in a cool, dry place. Protect from moisture and direct light. Keep out of reach of children.
