Prevention of heart attack and stroke in people at risk; management of atherosclerotic cardiovascular disease; used after angina, myocardial infarction, stroke/TIA, or after angioplasty/stent to reduce clotting risk and control cholesterol.

Clopidogrel is an antiplatelet medicine that blocks ADP (P2Y12) receptors on platelets, reducing platelet aggregation and clot formation. Atorvastatin is an HMG‑CoA reductase inhibitor (statin) that lowers LDL cholesterol and triglycerides and helps stabilize atherosclerotic plaques, reducing cardiovascular events.

Take as prescribed by your doctor. Typically taken once daily at the same time each day, with or without food. Swallow the capsule whole with water; do not crush or chew. Do not stop clopidogrel without medical advice, especially after stent placement.

Headache,dizziness,abdominal pain,diarrhoea,nausea,dyspepsia,bruising,nosebleed,bleeding gums,raised liver enzymes,muscle pain (myalgia)

Increased risk of bleeding; seek urgent care for unusual bleeding, black/tarry stools, vomiting blood, or sudden severe headache/weakness. Inform doctor before surgery/dental procedures. Statin-related muscle problems: report unexplained muscle pain/weakness especially with fever or dark urine. Use with caution in liver disease or heavy alcohol use; periodic liver function tests may be needed. Avoid in active liver disease. Not recommended in pregnancy; avoid breastfeeding while on atorvastatin.

Increased bleeding risk with aspirin/NSAIDs, warfarin, heparin, DOACs (apixaban/rivaroxaban), other antiplatelets. Reduced clopidogrel effect with omeprazole/esomeprazole (prefer pantoprazole if needed). Atorvastatin levels increased by strong CYP3A4 inhibitors (clarithromycin/erythromycin, azole antifungals, HIV protease inhibitors), grapefruit juice; higher myopathy risk with fibrates (gemfibrozil), niacin, cyclosporine. Rifampicin may reduce atorvastatin levels.

Store below 25°C in a cool, dry place. Protect from light and moisture. Keep in original strip/container and out of reach of children.
