Atornet 10

Atornet 10 contains Atorvastatin (10mg) and is used for atornet 10 mg. Prescription required.

Atornet 10 mg Tablet is used in the treatment of high cholesterol.

Atornet 10 mg Tablet is a lipid-lowering medication (statin). It works by blocking an enzyme (HMG-CoA-reductase) that is required in the body to make cholesterol. It thus lowers "bad" cholesterol (LDL), triglycerides and raises "good" cholesterol (HDL).

Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Atornet 10 mg Tablet may be taken with or without food, but it is better to take it at a fixed time.

Report unexplained muscle pain, tenderness or weakness — especially with fever or dark urine — without waiting for your next appointment. Your doctor will check your liver with a blood test before starting and from time to time afterwards. Cholesterol medicines work silently; you will not feel their benefit, and that is not a reason to stop. Tell your doctor if you develop new or worsening diabetes symptoms.

Grapefruit juice raises the level of some statins — avoid it. Certain antibiotics, antifungals and fibrates increase the risk of muscle damage when combined.

Store below 30°C in the original pack, away from direct sunlight and moisture. Keep out of the reach of children.
