Auragest SR 300mg Tablet works by preparing the uterus for pregnancy and maintaining a healthy environment for fetal development. It thickens the uterine lining to support implantation and prevents contractions that could lead to early pregnancy loss. Additionally, it helps regulate the menstrual cycle and balances other reproductive hormones. In hormone therapy, it supports overall hormonal stability and helps manage symptoms related to hormonal imbalances.

Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Auragest SR 300mg Tablet is to be taken on an empty stomach.

Take a hormonal medicine at the same time every day; the effect depends on a steady level. Seek urgent care for sudden chest pain, breathlessness, severe headache, weakness on one side, or pain and swelling in a calf — hormone preparations can raise the risk of clots. Tell your doctor if you smoke, have migraine with aura, high blood pressure, or a family history of clots or breast cancer, before starting. Report any unusual or heavy vaginal bleeding to your doctor.

Rifampicin, several anti-epileptics and St John's wort make hormonal contraception unreliable. Tell your doctor about every medicine, supplement and herbal product you take.
