Drop
Glaucoma and ocular hypertension (raised intraocular pressure).
Eye drops used to reduce raised intraocular pressure by improving drainage of aqueous humour and/or reducing its production, depending on the active ingredients. Lowering eye pressure helps protect the optic nerve and slows glaucoma-related vision loss.
For ophthalmic use only. Instil the prescribed number of drops into the affected eye(s) as advised by the doctor, usually once daily in the evening for prostaglandin-analogue based drops. Wash hands, avoid touching the dropper tip, and keep a 5–10 minute gap if using other eye drops; remove contact lenses before use and reinsert after 15 minutes unless advised otherwise.
Eye irritation/burning, redness, itching, blurred vision, foreign body sensation, watery eyes, dry eyes
Use only under ophthalmologist supervision. Do not use if allergic to any ingredient. May cause temporary blurred vision—avoid driving until vision is clear. If you develop severe eye pain, sudden vision changes, swelling, discharge, or signs of allergy, seek medical help. Use caution with contact lenses and in patients with history of uveitis/iritis or herpetic keratitis; long-term use of some glaucoma drops can change iris/eyelash pigmentation.
If used with other ophthalmic medicines, separate administration by 5–10 minutes. Concomitant use with other intraocular-pressure lowering drops may have additive effects; avoid using two prostaglandin analogues together unless advised by an eye specialist.
Store below 25°C in a cool, dry place away from light. Do not freeze. Keep the bottle tightly closed. Discard the bottle 4 weeks after opening or as per label.
