Calpol Paediatric Peppermint Drops contains Simethicone 40 mg/ml (typical) and is used for relief of infant colic, gas, bloating, abdominal discomfort due to trapped wind.

Simethicone is an anti-foaming agent that breaks up gas bubbles in the stomach and intestines. This helps the gas pass more easily and reduces bloating and discomfort.

Oral drops: Shake well and give the dose as advised by the pediatrician, usually after feeds and at bedtime. Can be mixed with a small amount of water or milk if needed. Do not exceed recommended dose.

Mild nausea, loose stools, constipation (rare)

Generally considered safe as it is minimally absorbed. If baby has persistent crying, vomiting, fever, blood in stools, poor feeding, or abdominal distension, consult a doctor to rule out other causes.

No known significant drug interactions

Store below 25°C, protect from light, keep cap tightly closed. Do not freeze.
