Crocin Peppermint Baby Oral Drops is safe to use during lactation. Human studies have shown that either the drug does not pass into the breastmilk in significant amount or is not expected to cause toxicity to the baby.
Avoid
Not expected to affect your ability to drive.
Crocin Peppermint Baby Oral Drops should be used with caution in patients with severe kidney disease. Dose adjustment of Crocin Peppermint Baby Oral Drops may be needed. Please consult your doctor.<br>However, Crocin Peppermint Baby Oral Drops contains paracetamol which is considered the safest painkiller for kidney disease patients.
Crocin Peppermint Baby Oral Drops s should be used with caution in patients with liver disease. Dose adjustment of Crocin Peppermint Baby Oral Drops s may be needed. Please consult your doctor.<br>However, the use of Crocin Peppermint Baby Oral Drops s is not recommended in patients with severe liver disease and active liver disease.
Monograph
Crocin Peppermint Baby Oral Drops contains Paracetamol (100mg/ml).
Fever in infants, Mild pain such as post-vaccination discomfort, teething-related discomfort (as advised)
Paracetamol reduces fever and pain by inhibiting prostaglandin synthesis in the central nervous system. This lowers the hypothalamic temperature set point and decreases pain perception.
Use only as per pediatrician advice. Measure with the provided dropper for accurate dosing; can be given with or without feeds. Do not exceed recommended daily dose and avoid combining with other paracetamol-containing products.
Nausea, vomiting, rash, stomach discomfort, elevated liver enzymes (rare)
Strength may vary by pack; verify concentration on label to avoid overdose. Overdose can cause serious liver injury. Use caution in liver disease, severe kidney disease, dehydration/malnutrition. Seek medical help for persistent fever, poor feeding, lethargy, or allergic symptoms.
Alcohol (in caregivers/older patients), warfarin (regular use), rifampicin, isoniazid, carbamazepine, phenytoin, phenobarbital, probenecid
Store below 25°C, protected from light and moisture. Keep tightly closed and out of reach of children.
