Treatment of Bacterial infections
Cefolac CV 200 Tablet is a combination of two medicines: Cefixime and Clavulanic Acid. Cefixime is an antibiotic. It works by preventing the formation of the bacterial protective covering which is essential for the survival of bacteria. Clavulanic Acid is a beta-lactamase inhibitor which reduces resistance and enhances the activity of Cefixime against bacteria.
Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Cefolac CV 200 Tablet may be taken with or without food.
Most side effects do not require any medical attention and disappear as your body adjusts to the medicine. Consult your doctor if they persist or if you’re worried about them
Use with caution in patients with a history of penicillin allergy, renal impairment, or liver disease. Monitor for signs of superinfection.
May interact with anticoagulants, probenecid, and other antibiotics.
Store at room temperature (20-25°C), away from light and moisture.
