Symptomatic relief of dry cough and associated throat irritation (as per physician advice; exact indication depends on formulation).

DEXPCOF is a cough syrup brand; its action depends on the active ingredients present. Common antitussive/anti-allergic/decongestant ingredients work by suppressing the cough reflex and reducing allergy-related irritation in the airways.

Shake well before use. Measure with a dosing cup/spoon and take exactly as prescribed by the doctor. May be taken with or without food; take at the same time each day if multiple doses are advised. Do not exceed recommended dose.

Drowsiness, dizziness, dry mouth, nausea, vomiting, constipation, stomach upset

May cause drowsiness—avoid driving or operating machinery if affected. Do not use in children without medical advice. Use with caution in asthma/COPD, liver disease, glaucoma, enlarged prostate/urinary retention, and in elderly patients. Seek medical care if cough persists >1 week, is recurrent, or is accompanied by fever, wheezing, rash, or thick/green/bloody sputum. Do not combine with other cough/cold medicines unless advised.

Alcohol and other CNS depressants (increased drowsiness), sedatives/sleeping pills, opioids, antihistamines, MAO inhibitors/antidepressants (depending on formulation), other cough suppressants

Store below 25°C in a cool, dry place away from direct light. Keep the bottle tightly closed. Keep out of reach of children.
