Relief of pain and inflammation in conditions such as osteoarthritis, rheumatoid arthritis, ankylosing spondylitis, acute musculoskeletal pain, dental pain and dysmenorrhoea (period pain).

Piroxicam is a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID). It reduces pain, swelling and inflammation by inhibiting cyclo-oxygenase (COX) enzymes and decreasing prostaglandin formation.

Dispersible tablet: dissolve in a small quantity of water and drink immediately, or take as directed by physician. Usually taken after food to reduce stomach upset; use the lowest effective dose for the shortest duration.

acidity, nausea, vomiting, stomach pain, indigestion, diarrhoea, dizziness, headache, rash, fluid retention (swelling)

May cause stomach/intestinal ulcer, bleeding or perforation (risk higher in elderly, history of ulcer/bleed, or with alcohol/steroids/anticoagulants). Use with caution in kidney disease, liver disease, heart disease/heart failure, hypertension and asthma/NSAID allergy. Stop and seek medical help if black stools, vomiting blood, severe stomach pain, chest pain, sudden weakness, or severe skin rash occurs. Not recommended in late pregnancy; may affect fertility. Avoid using multiple NSAIDs together.

Anticoagulants (warfarin), antiplatelets (aspirin, clopidogrel), SSRIs/SNRIs, corticosteroids (prednisolone), other NSAIDs, antihypertensives (ACE inhibitors/ARBs, diuretics), lithium, methotrexate, cyclosporine/tacrolimus

Store at or below 25°C in a dry place, protected from moisture and light. Keep out of reach of children.
