Doxcef-O Tablet is a combination of two antibiotics: Cefpodoxime Proxetil and Ofloxacin. Cefpodoxime Proxetil works by preventing the formation of the bacterial protective covering which is essential for the survival of the bacteria in the human body. Ofloxacin works by preventing the bacteria from reproducing and repairing themselves. Together, they treat your infection effectively.
Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Doxcef-O Tablet may be taken with or without food.
Most side effects do not require any medical attention and disappear as your body adjusts to the medicine. Consult your doctor if they persist or if you’re worried about them
Use with caution in patients with a history of liver disease, avoid prolonged exposure to sunlight, and not recommended during pregnancy.
Antacids, iron supplements, and certain anticoagulants may reduce the effectiveness of this medication.
Store at room temperature (20-25°C), away from light and moisture.
