Fever, mild to moderate pain such as headache, toothache, body ache, muscle pain, back pain, joint pain, cold/flu-related aches

Paracetamol inhibits prostaglandin synthesis in the central nervous system, which reduces pain perception. It also acts on the hypothalamic heat-regulating center to lower fever.

Take by mouth with water as advised by doctor. Can be taken with or without food; taking after food may reduce gastric discomfort. Do not exceed the recommended dose or use multiple paracetamol-containing products together.

Nausea, vomiting, stomach pain, indigestion, rash, itching, increased liver enzymes (rare)

Do not exceed total daily paracetamol dose (generally max 4,000 mg/day in adults; lower limits may apply in elderly, low body weight, or liver disease). Use with caution in liver impairment, chronic alcohol use, malnutrition, or severe kidney disease. Seek medical help for allergic reactions (rash, swelling, breathing difficulty). Overdose can cause serious liver damage; contact a doctor/poison center immediately if overdose suspected.

Alcohol (increases risk of liver toxicity), warfarin/other coumarin anticoagulants (may increase bleeding risk with prolonged regular use), isoniazid or rifampicin (increased hepatotoxicity risk), carbamazepine/phenytoin/phenobarbital (may increase liver toxicity and reduce effect), probenecid (may increase paracetamol levels), cholestyramine (reduces absorption if taken close together)

Store below 25°C in a cool, dry place. Protect from moisture and direct light. Keep out of reach of children.
