Meftal Forte Tablet contains Mefenamic Acid (500 mg). It relieves pain, reduces inflammation, lowers fever.
Before you take it
Not recommended in pregnancy — it may harm the developing baby. Tell your doctor at once if you are or might be pregnant.
Use with caution while breastfeeding; watch the baby for any unusual symptoms.
Do not drink alcohol while taking this medicine.

Mefenamic Acid blocks the chemicals your body makes at a site of injury or inflammation, which reduces pain, swelling and fever.
Take 1 tablet with water every 6-8 hours as needed for pain or fever. Do not exceed 3 tablets in 24 hours.

Take it with or just after food, and for the shortest time that works. Stop and seek urgent care for black or tarry stools, vomiting blood, or severe stomach pain — this group can cause bleeding from the stomach. Long or high-dose use raises the risk of heart attack, stroke and kidney injury, particularly in older people and those already at risk. Avoid if you are dehydrated or have an illness with vomiting or loose motions — the kidneys are vulnerable then. Must be avoided in the last three months of pregnancy.
Combining with a blood thinner or aspirin sharply raises the bleeding risk. Reduces the effect of blood pressure medicines and water tablets, and together with them can harm the kidneys. Never take two anti-inflammatory painkillers at the same time.
Store below 30°C in the original pack, away from direct sunlight and moisture. Keep out of the reach of children.
