Oltavir Suspension is a prescription medicine containing Oseltamivir (75mg). Oltavir 75 Capsule is used in the treatment and prevention of influenza (flu). It is also used in the treatment of H1N1 influenza (Swine flu). It would be advised by your doctor when you have symptoms of influenza (flu) or if there is influenza virus outbreak in your community. It belongs to the group of medicines called Angiotensin II receptor blocker (ARB) and Thiazide diuretic.
Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. The dose and how long you take it depend on what you are being treated for and how you respond. Do not take more, or for longer, than your doctor has advised.
The side effects seen most often with Oltavir Suspension are dizziness, headache, fatigue and low blood pressure. Most are mild and settle as the body gets used to the medicine. Tell your doctor if one persists or worries you.
Before you start, tell your doctor about any liver, kidney or heart problem, whether you are pregnant, planning a pregnancy or breastfeeding, and every other medicine you take, including supplements and ayurvedic preparations. Some of them can change how Oltavir Suspension works.

Stop the medicine and get help at once for a rash, swelling of the face or lips, wheezing or difficulty breathing. Tell your doctor about any side effect that persists or worries you.
Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Oltavir 75 Capsule may be taken with or without food, but it is better to take it at a fixed time.
Oltavir 75 Capsule is a neuraminidase inhibitor. It stops the spread of influenza (flu) virus in the body and helps in fast relief from influenza (flu) symptoms like a stuffy or a runny nose, sore throat, cough, muscle or joint aches, tiredness, headache, fever, and chills.
Monitor blood pressure regularly, avoid dehydration, use with caution in patients with renal impairment.
Take it as soon as you remember. If your next dose is almost due, skip the one you missed — never take two doses together to catch up.
An overdose of this medicine can cause confusion, kidney injury and fits. Do not wait for symptoms to appear — go to the nearest emergency department and take the pack or strip with you.
