Tapal D Gel

Tapal D Gel contains Diclofenac diethylamine (1.16% w/w) + Linseed Oil (3% w/w) + Methyl Salicylate (10% w/w) + Menthol (5% w/w) and is used for pain relief.

Pain relief

Tapal D Gel is a combination of four medicines: Diclofenac diethylamine, Linseed Oil, Methyl Salicylate and Menthol. Diclofenac diethylamine and Menthol are non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs) which work by blocking the release of certain chemical messengers that cause pain and inflammation (redness and swelling). Linseed Oil is a plant-based oil which further reduces inflammation and improves blood circulation at the site of application. It also increases the penetration of Diclofenac diethylamine through the skin. Methyl Salicylate produces a cooling effect on the skin.

This medicine is for external use only. Use it in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Check the label for directions before use. Clean and dry the affected area and apply the gel. Wash your hands after applying, unless hands are the affected area.

Most side effects do not require any medical attention and disappear as your body adjusts to the medicine. Consult your doctor if they persist or if you’re worried about them

For external use only. Keep it away from the eyes, mouth and broken skin. Do not apply a heating pad or hot water bottle over the treated area — this can cause a burn. Do not bandage tightly over it unless your doctor has told you to. Wash your hands thoroughly after applying, unless your hands are the area being treated. Stop if the skin becomes severely irritated or blisters.

Topical anti-inflammatory gels add to the effect of the same medicine taken by mouth; tell your doctor if you use both.

Store at room temperature below 25°C, away from direct heat and sunlight. Do not freeze. Keep the tube tightly closed and out of reach of children.
