Tablet
Vitamin D deficiency, prevention and treatment of low vitamin D levels, support for bone health in conditions like osteopenia/osteoporosis (as advised by doctor).
Vitamin D3 (cholecalciferol) is converted in the body to active vitamin D, which increases absorption of calcium and phosphate from the gut. This helps maintain normal blood calcium levels and supports bone mineralization and muscle function.
Take as directed by your doctor. Swallow the tablet whole with water, preferably after food for better absorption. Do not exceed the recommended dose; dosing frequency depends on the strength and your vitamin D level.
Nausea, vomiting, constipation, abdominal pain, loss of appetite, headache, weakness, increased thirst, increased urination
Use with caution in kidney disease, history of kidney stones, hypercalcemia, hyperparathyroidism, sarcoidosis or other granulomatous disorders. Excess vitamin D can cause high calcium levels; monitor calcium and vitamin D levels if on prolonged/high-dose therapy. Tell your doctor if you are taking other calcium/vitamin D products.
Thiazide diuretics (risk of hypercalcemia), digoxin (arrhythmia risk with hypercalcemia), anticonvulsants like phenytoin/phenobarbital (reduced vitamin D effect), rifampicin (reduced effect), corticosteroids (reduced absorption/effect), cholestyramine/orlistat (reduced absorption), aluminium/magnesium antacids (in renal impairment)
Store below 25°C in a cool, dry place away from direct light and moisture. Keep out of reach of children.
