Treatment of hypertension (high blood pressure), especially when single-drug therapy is inadequate; helps reduce risk of cardiovascular events associated with uncontrolled BP.

Telmisartan is an angiotensin II receptor blocker (ARB) that relaxes blood vessels by blocking angiotensin II action. Amlodipine is a calcium channel blocker that widens arteries by reducing calcium entry into vascular smooth muscle, lowering blood pressure.

Tablet for oral use. Take as prescribed, usually once daily at the same time each day; can be taken with or without food. Swallow whole with water; do not stop abruptly without medical advice.

May cause low blood pressure especially in dehydrated patients; use caution in kidney impairment, renal artery stenosis, liver disease, and heart failure. Monitor BP, kidney function and serum potassium; risk of hyperkalemia especially with potassium supplements/diuretics. Avoid in pregnancy; may harm the unborn baby. Seek care for severe dizziness, fainting, facial swelling or breathing difficulty.

Potassium supplements/salt substitutes and potassium-sparing diuretics (risk of hyperkalemia), NSAIDs (reduced antihypertensive effect and kidney risk), lithium (increased lithium toxicity), other antihypertensives/diuretics (additive hypotension), alcohol (increased dizziness), strong CYP3A4 inhibitors like clarithromycin/azoles (may increase amlodipine effects)

Store below 25°C in a dry place, protected from moisture and light. Keep in original strip/container and out of reach of children.
