Zomet SR Tablet is probably safe to use during pregnancy.<br/>Animal studies have shown low or no adverse effect on the foetus, however, there are limited human studies. Please consult your doctor.

Zomet SR Tablet is used in the treatment of type 2 diabetes. It is used in addition to diet and exercise to improve blood sugar control in adults with type 2 diabetes.
Metformin is an anti-diabetic medication (biguanide). It works by lowering glucose production in the liver, delaying sugar (glucose) absorption from intestines and increasing the body's sensitivity to insulin.
Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Zomet SR Tablet is to be taken with food.

Zomet SR Tablet should be used with caution in patients with liver disease. Dose adjustment of Zomet SR Tablet may be needed. Please consult your doctor.<br/>Zomet SR Tablet is generally started with low dose in patients with mild to moderate liver disease and its use is not recommended in patients with severe liver disease.
