How to verify a PingMeDoc medical certificate
Every medical certificate issued by PingMeDoc is publicly verifiable. You can confirm authenticity in under a minute — without contacting us, without an account, and without the patient's presence.
- 1
Scan the QR code
Open your phone camera and point it at the QR code in the footer of the certificate PDF. It will open the verification result directly on pingmedoc.com/verify — no app required. - 2
Or enter the certificate ID
Go to pingmedoc.com/verify and type the certificate ID printed under the doctor's signature. It looks likePMD-2026-000123. - 3
Read the verified result
A genuine certificate shows a green Document verified badge, the issuing doctor's name + medical council registration, the clinic of record, the certificate type (sick-leave, Form 1A, fitness, …), and the date of issue. - 4
If the page says 'not verified'
Treat the document as untrustworthy. Genuine PingMeDoc certificates are always verifiable. Report suspected forgery to care@pingmedoc.com with the PDF attached, or see brand protection for known look-alike domains.
Privacy by designWe never expose the patient's full name or any health details on the public verification page — only the certificate type and issue date. The patient's consent is captured at the time of issue.
Frequently asked questions
What does a verified PingMeDoc certificate prove?
A verified result confirms that the certificate was issued by PingMeDoc HealthTech Private Limited, signed by a registered medical practitioner (with their TNMC / state medical council registration number), and that the snapshot of the issuing org/clinic/doctor has not been tampered with since issue.
Can a PingMeDoc certificate be forged?
The verification system uses an HMAC-signed snapshot. If a PDF is edited after issue — even a single character — the signature no longer matches the snapshot, and verification fails with 'document signature has been tampered with'. The QR code on every certificate links to the canonical verification URL, so a forged PDF cannot fake a verified result.
Where is the certificate ID printed on the certificate?
The certificate ID is printed in the footer of every PingMeDoc PDF, just below the doctor's signature, in the format PMD-YYYY-NNNNNN. The same ID appears next to the QR code.
What if the verification page says 'not verified'?
Treat the certificate as untrustworthy and do not accept it. Genuine PingMeDoc certificates are always verifiable at pingmedoc.com/verify. If you received a PDF claiming to be from PingMeDoc that does not verify, please report it to care@pingmedoc.com — and see our brand-protection page for known impersonator domains.
Does the patient need to be present for verification?
No. Verification is public — anyone with the certificate ID or QR code can confirm authenticity. We only show the doctor's name, TNMC registration, certificate type, and issue date — never the patient's full name or any health details.
