Msn Laboratories - Syrup - 100 ml
Abiraterone Acetate (250mg)
Abura 250 Tablet is used for prostate cancer.
Medically reviewed by Dr. Balaji Krishnan, MBBS · Updated August 2026
Abura 250 Tablet contains Abiraterone Acetate (250mg).
Prostate cancer
ABUra 250mg Tablet works by blocking an enzyme called CYP17, which is involved in the production of androgens (male hormones like testosterone). Since many prostate cancers rely on these hormones to grow, reducing their levels helps slow down or stop the cancer's progression. Essentially, ABUra 250mg Tablet cuts off the fuel supply that the cancer needs to thrive.
Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. ABUra 250mg Tablet is to be taken on an empty stomach.
Take it exactly as your doctor prescribed. Do not change the dose or stop early on your own.
If you miss a dose of ABUra 250mg Tablet, take it as soon as possible. However, if it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your regular schedule. Do not double the dose.
Taking more Abura than prescribed can be harmful. If you suspect an overdose, contact a doctor or go to the nearest emergency department at once, and carry the pack or strip with you. In India the emergency number is 112.
Most side effects of Abura are mild and settle as the body adjusts. Reported side effects include:
Stop the medicine and seek help immediately for a rash, swelling of the face or lips, wheezing or difficulty breathing. Tell your doctor about any side effect that persists or worries you.
