How Admenta-5 works
Donepezil is a reversible acetylcholinesterase inhibitor. It increases acetylcholine levels in the brain by reducing its breakdown, which may help improve cognitive function and behaviour in Alzheimer’s disease.
How to take Admenta-5
Oral tablet: usually taken once daily at bedtime. Swallow whole with water; can be taken with or without food. Use exactly as prescribed and do not stop abruptly without medical advice.
Take it exactly as your doctor prescribed. Do not change the dose or stop early on your own.
Missed dose and overdose
If you miss a dose
Take it as soon as you remember. If your next dose is almost due, skip the one you missed — never take two doses together to catch up.
If you take too much
An overdose of this medicine can cause severe confusion, abnormal movements, a very slow pulse and collapse. Do not wait for symptoms to appear — go to the nearest emergency department and take the pack or strip with you.

Use with caution in patients with heart rhythm problems (bradycardia, sick sinus, conduction defects), history of fainting, peptic ulcer/bleeding, asthma/COPD, seizures, urinary obstruction, liver impairment.
