Composition of Amrolstar Nail Lacquer

Amrolstar Nail Lacquer contains Amorolfine (5% w/v). It belongs to the Morpholine antifungal (Amorolfine) class of medicines.

How Amrolstar Nail Lacquer works

Amorolfine is an antifungal that inhibits ergosterol synthesis by blocking sterol enzymes (delta-14 reductase and delta-7–8 isomerase). This disrupts the fungal cell membrane, stopping growth and killing susceptible fungi in the nail.

How to take Amrolstar Nail Lacquer

For external use on nails only. File the affected nail surface, clean/degrease, then apply a thin layer of lacquer over the entire affected nail using the applicator. Allow to dry. Usually applied once or twice weekly as advised by the doctor; continue until healthy nail regrows (may take 6–12 months). Avoid washing the area for several hours after application and remove old lacquer before reapplying if instructed.

Take it exactly as your doctor prescribed. Do not change the dose or stop early on your own.

Missed dose and overdose

If you miss a dose

If you miss a dose of Amrolstar Nail Lacquer, apply it as soon as possible. However, if it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your regular schedule. Do not double the dose.
