How Atonide H Cream works

Atonide-H Cream is a steroid medicine that inhibits the production of certain chemical messengers (prostaglandins and leukotrienes) that make the skin red, swollen, and itchy. This helps in relieving symptoms associated with skin disorders.

How to take Atonide H Cream

This medicine is for external use only. Use it in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Check the label for directions before use. Clean and dry the affected area and apply the cream. Wash your hands after applying, unless hands are the affected area.

Take it exactly as your doctor prescribed. Do not change the dose or stop early on your own.

Missed dose and overdose

If you miss a dose

If you miss a dose of Atonide-H Cream, apply it as soon as you remember. However, if it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and resume your regular schedule. Do not apply extra to make up for a missed dose.

If you take too much

Taking more Atonide H than prescribed can be harmful. If you suspect an overdose, contact a doctor or go to the nearest emergency department at once, and carry the pack or strip with you. In India the emergency number is 112.

Side effects of Atonide H Cream

Most side effects of Atonide H are mild and settle as the body adjusts. Reported side effects include:

Interactions with other medicines

How to store Atonide H Cream

Store Atonide H below 30°C in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and moisture. Keep the pack tightly closed and out of the reach of children. Do not use it after the expiry date printed on the pack.

Expert advice for Atonide H Cream

Atonide-H Cream should be applied to the affected areas as a thin film two or three times daily, or as advised by your doctor. Do not use it more often or for longer than advised by your doctor. Do not cover the area being treated with airtight dressings such as bandages unless directed by a doctor, as this may increase the risk of side effects. If you think the area of skin you are treating has become infected, you should stop using Atonide-H Cream and consult your doctor. Consult your doctor if your skin condition has not improved after 2 weeks of treatment.
