Dart 650 Tablet contains Paracetamol (650mg). It belongs to the Non-opioid analgesic (para-aminophenol derivative) class of medicines.

How Dart 650 Tablet works

Paracetamol works mainly by inhibiting prostaglandin synthesis in the central nervous system, which lowers pain perception and reduces fever. It also acts on the hypothalamic heat-regulating center to bring down body temperature.

How to take Dart 650 Tablet

Tablet for oral use. Take as advised by doctor; commonly 1 tablet when needed for fever/pain, with water, preferably after food if it causes stomach upset. Do not exceed the recommended daily dose; avoid taking multiple paracetamol-containing products together.

Take it exactly as your doctor prescribed. Do not change the dose or stop early on your own.

Missed dose and overdose

If you miss a dose

If you miss a dose of Dart 650 Tablet, take it as soon as possible. However, if it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your regular schedule. Do not double the dose.

If you take too much

An overdose of this medicine can cause severe and sometimes fatal liver damage, often with no symptoms at all for the first day. Do not wait for symptoms to appear — go to the nearest emergency department and take the pack or strip with you.

Most side effects of Dart are mild and settle as the body adjusts. Reported side effects include:

Store below 25°C in a cool, dry place. Protect from moisture and direct light. Keep out of reach of children.

Dart 650 Tablet can be taken with or without food, but taking it with food or milk may help reduce stomach discomfort. Avoid taking more than the recommended dose, as excessive use can increase the risk of liver damage. Check the labels of other “cold and flu” medicines, as many may also contain paracetamol. Taking them together can lead to an overdose. Avoid alcohol while taking Dart 650 Tablet, as it may increase the risk of liver damage. Inform your doctor if you have liver or kidney disease, as dose adjustment or monitoring may be required, especially with long-term use. Seek medical advice if you notice symptoms such as dark urine, yellowing of the skin or eyes, or unusual tiredness. These may indicate liver problems.
