Drotin M Tablet contains Drotaverine hydrochloride 80 mg + Mefenamic acid 250 mg. It belongs to the Smooth muscle relaxant (PDE inhibitor) + NSAID class of medicines.

How Drotin M Tablet works

How to take Drotin M Tablet

Missed dose and overdose

If you miss a dose

Take it as soon as you remember. If your next dose is almost due, skip the one you missed — never take two doses together to catch up.

An overdose of this medicine can cause a racing heart, confusion, blurred vision and difficulty passing urine. It can cause stomach bleeding, kidney failure, drowsiness and fits. Do not wait for symptoms to appear — go to the nearest emergency department and take the pack or strip with you.

Do not take Drotin M if

Not for anyone with a known allergy to this medicine or to any ingredient in the pack. Not for people with glaucoma, urinary retention, or a blockage of the gut. Not for people with an active stomach ulcer, severe kidney or heart failure, or asthma triggered by aspirin or anti-inflammatory painkillers. Not in the third trimester of pregnancy.

Take it when the cramps start rather than on a fixed schedule, unless your doctor has said otherwise. A warm compress and regular meals help cramping in irritable bowel syndrome. Use the lowest dose for the shortest period. If you need a painkiller regularly, see your doctor rather than continuing on your own. Paracetamol is the safer choice for simple fever and headache.
