Levothyroxine sodium 12.5 mcg tablet
Hypothyroidism (underactive thyroid), thyroid hormone replacement after thyroidectomy or radioactive iodine therapy, TSH suppression in certain thyroid conditions as prescribed
Levothyroxine is synthetic thyroxine (T4), a thyroid hormone. It is converted to T3 in tissues and restores normal thyroid hormone levels, improving metabolism, energy and organ function, and normalizing TSH.
Take exactly as prescribed, usually once daily on an empty stomach with water, preferably 30–60 minutes before breakfast. Take at the same time each day; avoid taking with calcium/iron/antacids within 4 hours. Dose is individualized based on TSH/clinical response; do not stop suddenly without medical advice.

Not for weight loss or obesity treatment. Use caution in heart disease (angina, coronary artery disease, arrhythmias), elderly, and patients with adrenal insufficiency (treat adrenal issue first).
