How Flonida 5% Cream works

Econazole is an imidazole antifungal. It inhibits ergosterol synthesis in fungal cell membranes, leading to increased membrane permeability and fungal cell death or growth inhibition.

How to take Flonida 5% Cream

For external use only. Clean and dry the affected area, then apply a thin layer to the affected skin (and a small surrounding area) usually 1–2 times daily or as directed by a doctor. Continue for the full prescribed duration even if symptoms improve; wash hands after application.

It may cause redness, dryness, burning, pain, erosion, and swelling that may continue for two or more weeks after treatment is over. Inform your doctor if it does not go away.
