Prevention and treatment of folate deficiency; nutritional support in pregnancy and lactation; adjunct in megaloblastic anemia due to folate deficiency; supports elevated homocysteine management when folate supplementation is advised.
Folate (vitamin B9) is essential for DNA synthesis and red blood cell formation. Supplementation corrects folate deficiency, supports normal cell division, and helps lower homocysteine levels when deficient.
Capsule/Mouth-dissolving capsule: take as advised by the physician, usually once daily. Can be taken with or without food; take at the same time each day. Do not exceed recommended dose unless prescribed.

Use under medical supervision in pregnancy/lactation and in anemia: folate can mask vitamin B12 deficiency and may delay diagnosis of pernicious anemia—B12 status may need evaluation. Use caution in patients on anticonvulsants or with malabsorption. Seek medical advice if rash, breathing difficulty, or severe GI symptoms occur.
