Uses of Glador M 3 Forte

Type 2 diabetes mellitus when diet and exercise alone are not enough; helps control high blood sugar and improves glycaemic control (often in patients needing combination therapy).

Key benefits

  • Lowers high blood sugar in type 2 diabetes
  • Improves long-term glycaemic control (HbA1c)
  • Reduces fasting and post-meal glucose
  • Combination therapy in a single tablet
  • Helps reduce diabetes-related complications with sustained control

How Glador M 3 Forte works

Glimepiride (a sulfonylurea) stimulates the pancreas to release insulin. Metformin (a biguanide) reduces glucose production in the liver and improves insulin sensitivity, lowering blood sugar levels.

How to take Glador M 3 Forte

Oral tablet. Take exactly as prescribed, usually once daily with/after meals (preferably with the main meal) to reduce stomach upset. Swallow whole; do not crush/chew if SR. Monitor blood glucose regularly.

Take it exactly as your doctor prescribed. Do not change the dose or stop early on your own.

Missed dose and overdose

If you miss a dose

Take the missed dose of Glador M as soon as you remember. If it is almost time for the next dose, skip the missed one and carry on with the usual schedule. Do not take two doses together to make up for a missed dose.

If you take too much

Taking more Glador M than prescribed can be harmful. If you suspect an overdose, contact a doctor or go to the nearest emergency department at once, and carry the pack or strip with you. In India the emergency number is 112.
