How Lipophage-120 works

Lipophage 120 Capsule is a lipase inhibitor. It works in the stomach and small intestine by blocking the absorption of fat from food by blocking enzymes responsible for the breakdown of fat.

How to take Lipophage-120

Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Lipophage 120 Capsule should be taken with or after food. Avoid Lipophage 120 Capsule with high-fat meals such as olive oil, nuts & seeds (Brazil nuts), dark chocolate, butter and meat.

Take it exactly as your doctor prescribed. Do not change the dose or stop early on your own.

Missed dose and overdose

If you miss a dose

If you miss a dose of Lipophage 120 Capsule, take it as soon as possible. However, if it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your regular schedule. Do not double the dose.

If you take too much

Taking more Lipophage-120 than prescribed can be harmful. If you suspect an overdose, contact a doctor or go to the nearest emergency department at once, and carry the pack or strip with you. In India the emergency number is 112.

Most side effects of Lipophage-120 are mild and settle as the body adjusts. Reported side effects include:

How to store Lipophage-120

Store Lipophage-120 below 30°C in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and moisture. Keep the pack tightly closed and out of the reach of children. Do not use it after the expiry date printed on the pack.

Expert advice for Lipophage-120

Lipophage 120 Capsule should be used along with regular physical activity and a healthy diet. Take it during or up to 1 hour after each meal. Skip your dose if you miss a meal or if your meal contains no fat. A multivitamin supplement containing vitamins A, D, and K is recommended when taking Lipophage 120 Capsule. It should not be taken for longer than six months. If you have been unable to lose weight after 12 weeks of taking this medicine, you should stop taking it and consult your doctor.
