Relief of productive (wet) cough with thick mucus/chest congestion in conditions like acute bronchitis, COPD exacerbations, and respiratory tract infections (as advised by a doctor).
Mucolytic/expectorant medicines thin and loosen thick mucus in the airways, making it easier to cough out. This helps clear chest congestion and improves breathing in wet cough.
Oral suspension: Shake well before use. Measure with a dosing cup/spoon and take exactly as prescribed, preferably after food. Drink plenty of fluids; do not exceed the recommended dose.
Common side effects of MUCOPEX D SUSPENSION may include:
Use with caution in patients with gastric/duodenal ulcer, asthma/bronchospasm, liver or kidney impairment. Not recommended for self-medication in children, during pregnancy, or if cough persists >7 days, is accompanied by fever, wheeze, breathlessness, or blood in sputum—consult a doctor. Do not combine with cough suppressants unless prescribed.
