Uses of Mupifresh Ointment

Treatment of bacterial skin infections such as impetigo, infected cuts/wounds, abrasions, folliculitis and secondary infected eczema caused by susceptible bacteria (e.g., Staphylococcus aureus, Streptococcus pyogenes).

• •Treats impetigo and other localized bacterial skin infections
• •Reduces redness and oozing from infected lesions
• •Helps healing of infected cuts and abrasions
• •Effective against Staphylococcus and Streptococcus species

How it works

Mupirocin is a topical antibiotic that inhibits bacterial protein synthesis by reversibly binding to isoleucyl‑tRNA synthetase. This stops bacterial growth and helps clear the skin infection.

Directions for use

For external use only. Clean and dry the affected area, then apply a thin layer to the affected skin 2–3 times daily or as directed by a doctor; may cover with sterile gauze if advised. Use for the prescribed duration; avoid contact with eyes, mouth and inside nose unless specifically prescribed.
