Medical-grade silicone nipple shield, size 13–16 mm (1 piece)
Helps breastfeeding when there are sore/cracked nipples, flat or inverted nipples, latching difficulties, or to support feeding in premature/weak latch babies (as advised by a lactation consultant)
A thin silicone shield sits over the nipple and areola to provide a protective barrier and a firmer surface for the baby to latch onto. It helps reduce direct friction on sore nipples and can aid milk transfer when latch is difficult.
Wash hands before use. Sterilise/clean the nipple shield before first use and after each use. Place the shield centrally over the nipple so it fits snugly; ensure correct size (13–16 mm). Moisten edges with clean water/breastmilk to improve adhesion if needed. Use during breastfeeding as directed by a doctor/lactation consultant; discontinue once latch improves.

Use the correct size to avoid pain or reduced milk flow. Not a substitute for correcting latch—seek guidance from a lactation consultant if ongoing difficulty. Ensure thorough cleaning/sterilisation to prevent infection (including thrush). Monitor baby’s weight gain and wet diapers if using regularly, as poor fit may reduce milk intake. Replace if torn, sticky, discoloured, or damaged. Keep out of reach of children when not in use (choking hazard).
