Citicoline (CDP-choline) is a precursor of phosphatidylcholine and supports neuronal membrane phospholipid synthesis. It may enhance acetylcholine and dopamine neurotransmission and helps reduce neuronal damage during cerebral ischemia or injury.
For IV or IM use only as directed by a doctor. Administer the prescribed dose at recommended intervals; in hospital/clinical setting. Do not self-inject unless specifically trained; check solution for particles/discoloration before use.
Common side effects of NEUROXON-PFS INJ may include:
Use with caution in patients with severe vagotonia, history of seizures, or hypersensitivity to citicoline. Monitor blood pressure and neurological status as advised. Use only under medical supervision; avoid driving if dizziness occurs. Seek urgent care for signs of allergic reaction (rash, swelling, breathing difficulty).
