Norvent D is used for norvent-D Cough Syrup is used in the treatment of dry cough. It is used for the temporary relief of cough due to throat irritation, sneezing, and running nose.

Norvent D contains Dextromethorphan (10mg/5ml) + Chlorpheniramine (4mg/5ml).
Norvent-D Cough Syrup is a combination of two medicines: Chlorpheniramine Maleate and Dextromethorphan Hydrobromide, which relieves dry cough. Chlorpheniramine Maleate is an antiallergic which helps reduce cough associated with allergies by blocking the effects of a chemical messenger, histamine. Dextromethorphan Hydrobromide is a cough suppressant which relieves cough by reducing the activity of cough center in the brain.
Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Check the label for directions before use. Measure it with a measuring cup and take it by mouth. Shake well before use. Norvent-D Cough Syrup may be taken with or without food, but it is better to take it at a fixed time.<br>Take it with food if stomach upset occurs.
Take it exactly as your doctor prescribed. Do not change the dose or stop early on your own.
Take the missed dose of Norvent D as soon as you remember. If it is almost time for the next dose, skip the missed one and carry on with the usual schedule. Do not take two doses together to make up for a missed dose.
Taking more Norvent D than prescribed can be harmful. If you suspect an overdose, contact a doctor or go to the nearest emergency department at once, and carry the pack or strip with you. In India the emergency number is 112.
Most side effects of Norvent D are mild and settle as the body adjusts. Reported side effects include:
Stop the medicine and seek help immediately for a rash, swelling of the face or lips, wheezing or difficulty breathing. Tell your doctor about any side effect that persists or worries you.

| Liver | Norvent-D Cough Syrup is probably unsafe to use in patients with liver disease and should be avoided. Please consult your doctor. |
Tell your doctor or pharmacist about every medicine you take, including over-the-counter products, vitamins and herbal or ayurvedic preparations, before starting Norvent D. Some combinations can change how Norvent D works or raise the chance of side effects.
Store Norvent D below 30°C in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and moisture. Keep the pack tightly closed and out of the reach of children. Do not use it after the expiry date printed on the pack.
