Pantoprazole 40 mg (as Pantoprazole Sodium)
Gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD), heartburn/acid reflux, erosive esophagitis, peptic/duodenal ulcer, gastritis, prevention of NSAID-induced ulcers, Zollinger–Ellison syndrome and other acid hypersecretory states
Pantoprazole is a proton pump inhibitor (PPI). It irreversibly blocks the H+/K+ ATPase (proton pump) in gastric parietal cells, thereby reducing stomach acid production and promoting healing of acid-related damage.
Tablet for oral use. Usually taken once daily 30–60 minutes before food (preferably before breakfast) or as directed by the physician. Swallow whole with water; do not crush or chew.

A substitute contains the same active ingredient (salt), in the same strength, as Panhr-40MG Tab. The medicine inside is the same — the brand name, manufacturer and price are what differ.
All medicines sold in India, branded or generic, must meet the quality standards set by the national drug regulator (CDSCO). A lower price does not mean lower quality.
Please confirm with your doctor or pharmacist before switching brands — they will check that the strength and form match your prescription.
Use with caution in severe liver disease. Long-term use may increase risk of vitamin B12 deficiency, low magnesium, bone fractures, and fundic gland polyps; use the lowest effective dose. Seek medical advice if alarm symptoms occur (unintentional weight loss, persistent vomiting, difficulty swallowing, blood in vomit/stools, black stools). May increase risk of C. difficile–associated diarrhea. Hypersensitivity reactions are possible.
