How Skelebenz 15 works

Meloxicam is a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) that reduces the production of prostaglandins by inhibiting cyclo-oxygenase (preferential COX-2 inhibition). This lowers pain, swelling, and inflammation.

How to take Skelebenz 15

Take by mouth exactly as prescribed, usually once daily. Preferably take after food with water to reduce stomach upset; swallow whole and do not crush/chew. Use the lowest effective dose for the shortest duration.

Take it exactly as your doctor prescribed. Do not change the dose or stop early on your own.

Missed dose and overdose

If you miss a dose

If you miss a dose of Skelebenz 15 Capsule ER, take it as soon as possible. However, if it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your regular schedule. Do not double the dose.

If you take too much

An overdose of this medicine can cause deep drowsiness, muscle weakness, a fall in blood pressure and slowed breathing. Do not wait for symptoms to appear — go to the nearest emergency department and take the pack or strip with you.

Most side effects of Skelebenz are mild and settle as the body adjusts. Reported side effects include:
