Meloxicam 15 mg
Relief of pain and inflammation in osteoarthritis, rheumatoid arthritis, ankylosing spondylitis, acute musculoskeletal pain
Meloxicam is a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) that reduces the production of prostaglandins by inhibiting cyclo-oxygenase (preferential COX-2 inhibition). This lowers pain, swelling, and inflammation.
Take by mouth exactly as prescribed, usually once daily. Preferably take after food with water to reduce stomach upset; swallow whole and do not crush/chew. Use the lowest effective dose for the shortest duration.
Common side effects of SKELEBENZ 15 may include:
NSAIDs may increase risk of stomach/intestinal bleeding or ulcers (higher in elderly, history of ulcers, alcohol use). May increase risk of heart attack or stroke with prolonged use/high doses; use caution in heart disease, hypertension. Avoid in severe kidney or liver disease; monitor renal function if dehydrated/elderly or on diuretics. Not recommended in late pregnancy (may harm fetus/affect labor). Stop and seek care if rash, breathing difficulty, black stools, vomiting blood, severe abdominal pain.
