How Sputnix D Syrup works

Sputnix D Syrup is a combination of three medicines: Phenylephrine, Chlorpheniramine Maleate and Dextromethorphan Hydrobromide, which relieves dry cough. Phenylephrine is a decongestant which narrows the small blood vessels providing relief from congestion or stuffiness in the nose. Chlorpheniramine Maleate is an antiallergic which relieves allergy symptoms like runny nose, watery eyes and sneezing. Dextromethorphan Hydrobromide is a cough suppressant that relieves cough by reducing the activity of cough center in the brain.

How to take Sputnix D Syrup

Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Check the label for directions before use. Measure it with a measuring cup and take it by mouth. Shake well before use. Sputnix D Syrup may be taken with or without food, but it is better to take it at a fixed time.<br>Take it with food if stomach upset occurs.

Take it exactly as your doctor prescribed. Do not change the dose or stop early on your own.

Missed dose and overdose

If you miss a dose

Take the missed dose of Sputnix D as soon as you remember. If it is almost time for the next dose, skip the missed one and carry on with the usual schedule. Do not take two doses together to make up for a missed dose.

If you take too much

Taking more Sputnix D than prescribed can be harmful. If you suspect an overdose, contact a doctor or go to the nearest emergency department at once, and carry the pack or strip with you. In India the emergency number is 112.
